What is the reason you decided to work for MWP?
The people, the sincere eye contact and the attention for everyone’s personal story. In addition, I have the feeling that I can learn a lot from MWP and at the same time can also add something new to the existing offer. This makes MWP exactly the type of organization I want to stay connected to for a longer period of time.

I live quite healthily, but I can really enjoy good fries (favorite is Par Hasard’s), natural flavored chips and good ice cream. My exercise route often runs (surprisingly) by the ice cream shop [IJscuypje] in the summer

Did you know that I …?
I stopped as a full time Pro hockey coach, even after I dreamt of going to the Olympic Games as a coach. Maybe sounds a little crazy, but I want to develop myself first as an entrepreneur and coach in performance flow and team spirit outside of the sporting world. Having these skills will be better in supporting a national hockey team in their battle for medals.

If you’re having a bad day; what do you do to make yourself feel better?
Luckily I don’t often have bad days ? when/if I do, then I move (preferably outside) to relax my body … playing sports, walking with our dog, going to the sauna or yoga. Sometimes all alone, but more often with friends or the one that I love.

What is the best advice you have ever received?
My own coach once told me that “perfectionism is an illusion”. The pursuit of perfection is, in many people, very good. However, when you accept the best you can do (at that moment) you can learn from it and do better next time.

What is your proudest achievement?
When I stopped being a hockey coach I went through quite a difficult phase; I was just starting as an entrepreneur [from zero]I and I often felt doubtful and uncomfortable. I am proud that I have become confident in myself and that perseverance has allowed me to make a party of my life again.

What has had an impact on you or has changed you?
When I was 29, I decided to end my then-relationship. It was an incredibly difficult decision that brought on a sad phase, so during this time I visited a palm reader. She then advised me to write down my feelings, and from this I learned to better express my feelings. Since then; Intuitive writing ihas remained an important part of my daily approach as a coach.
